For the past 11 days Jack has been sick with a cough, and runny nose. This means, no good naps, or night time sleeping. Rob and I even got to the point where we point Jack in bed with us, because he kept waking up several times in the middle of the night unable to breath though his nose. To say the least, we are all just a little exhausted!
We took him in twice to see his doctor, just to make sure his drainage has not settled in his lungs or ears, all clear each time. We were told that a low grade fever was fine, and to let it run it's course which would take about 7-10 days...REALLY? you want us to wait 7-10 days to see if this goes away?!? There are two pediatricians that are in this practice, one that has two small kids (we really like her) and one that has no children. We saw the the latter both times, which is probably why she told us to just wait it out, even after we went into see her the second time. I wanted to say, do you know what it's like to not get a good nights rest for 7-10 days because your baby is up all night sick?! Finally, on day 11 we had ALL had enough and asked for her to call in an antibiotic, and decongestant! That night, Jack slept all night! HAAA! Thank goodness!!
Jack is finally on the mend, and we are all on the road to more sleep!
